Up to $2,000 Rental Assistance in Metro Atlanta (One-Time Support Available)

If you or someone you know in Metro Atlanta needs help covering move-in costs, this is a resource you don’t want to miss.

The One Small Thing Program, offered through HOPE Atlanta in partnership with United Way, provides one-time financial assistance of up to $2,000 to help individuals and families secure stable housing.

🏠 What This Assistance Covers

This program can help with:

  • First month’s rent

  • Security deposits

  • Utility fees

  • Application fees

  • Other move-in related expenses

📍 Who Qualifies

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Not be receiving other housing assistance

  • Meet income requirements (at or below 80% Area Median Income)

  • Reside within one of the 13 Metro Atlanta counties


Eligible counties include: Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, and Rockdale

📄 What You’ll Need to Apply

Be prepared with:

  • ID and Social Security cards for all household members

  • Income verification (last 30 days)

  • Copy of lease or welcome letter

  • Utility deposit letter (if applicable)
