If you or someone you know in Metro Atlanta needs help covering move-in costs, this is a resource you don’t want to miss.
The One Small Thing Program, offered through HOPE Atlanta in partnership with United Way, provides one-time financial assistance of up to $2,000 to help individuals and families secure stable housing.
🏠 What This Assistance Covers
This program can help with:
First month’s rent
Security deposits
Utility fees
Application fees
Other move-in related expenses
📍 Who Qualifies
To be eligible, applicants must:
Not be receiving other housing assistance
Meet income requirements (at or below 80% Area Median Income)
Reside within one of the 13 Metro Atlanta counties
Eligible counties include: Butts, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding, and Rockdale
📄 What You’ll Need to Apply
Be prepared with:
ID and Social Security cards for all household members
Income verification (last 30 days)
Copy of lease or welcome letter
Utility deposit letter (if applicable)
